Leaders Emerging is a career coaching company for software engineers. Our mission is to help immigrant, minority and women engineers grow into leaders in Tech. Whether you’re a new grad or a senior engineer, we provide strategic support to help you reach your career goals with confidence and ease.
Leaders Emerging has worked with 35+ tech professionals in all career levels. It provides 1-1 coaching services as well as professional development workshops. It was founded in 2020 by Yulia Eskin.
Meet our Founder
Hi! I’m Yulia Eskin.
I’m a career coach for software engineers. Until recently, I’ve worked as a software engineer & tech lead in Silicon Valley. I also call myself a professional immigrant since I immigrated 3 times.
After completing my BSc. and MSc. in computer science at the University of Toronto and working in research, I found myself wanting to better the world by moving to San Francisco and working in the health-tech startup scene. That’s where I grew my career from a very junior engineer to a senior engineer, tech lead and team lead. I worked for disruptive health-tech companies, led multi-million dollar projects and been featured in Business Insider. Through my path, I learned many lessons about communication, leadership and empathy.
In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I reinvented myself as as a certified career coach. I love helping engineers discover their confidence, grow in their careers and talk all things tech, product and immigrants.
My mission is to use my technical expertise & my unique point of view as an immigrant to impact others like me to recognize their strengths and go after their big dreams.
I regularly hosts workshops for engineers and create educational videos on Youtube. In 2020, I produced a conference to celebrate immigrant success stories. I’m deeply passionate about the human experience and personal growth that immigration brings forth. In 2021, I published my first book, She Moves Mountains, where I talk about my path as an immigrant and a woman in tech.
More than anything, I get inspired hearing other people’s life & career stories and how they chased their dreams.
